Navy-Marine Corps MARS has two types of membership:  individual and military auspices.  By far the most common is the individual.

To join Navy-Marine Corps MARS in Region Ten as an individual member you must:
   Reside in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, or Washington; (regardless of where you live the link below will get your application to the right place.)



   Be over 18 years of age;



   Be a US citizen or lawfully admitted to the US on a permanent basis,



   Hold a valid FCC Amateur Radio license,



   be willing to commit to a minimum of 18 hours of participation each quarter;



   Willing, to follow military protocol and a strict adherence to military chain of command within the MARS program

You don't have to:
   be current or former military,



   have military communications experience,



   have any experience handling traffic (passing messages),
We will train you.
