Information About
Broadcast Messages Stored on this Web Site |
| Region Ten broadcasts and general messages |
| are available in the open, non-secured, area. Some messages may be redacted to remove protected information, but this is extremely rare. |
| A member's best and fastest source for bcst messages is your WinLink account. |
| Always be prepared to copy all messages sent on the region voice nets as well. |
| Members
should have no difficulty accessing WinLink. If you absolutely can not connect on HF you can use the telenet option (Internet). |
| Note: posting of broadcast messages on the Region Ten web site is a convenience only. It is not expected that messages will be here, "in a timely way". The expectation is that members will regularly check WinLink for broadcast messages. Broadcast messages are also retransmitted on 0O1B and 0W1B nets weekdays. |
| Broadcast, or general, messages are collected in monthly files. |
| Beginning with 2009 messages will be filed here based on the Month in the DTG. Within each Month's file messages are in order by DTG. |
| The
frequency of updating the messages posted depends on the number of
messages in a given week or month and whether they contain critical or
time sensitive information. Normally it is done twice a month: shortly
after the 15th and last day of the month. These updates are also sent by e-mail at the time of the update to the ALL Region Ten mailing list. If you do not receive these e-mails and wish to then send an e-mail containing the e-mail address you wish to have subscribed to NNN0AS0 FIVE. (Be sure to use the e-mail address you are most likely to use to send something to the mail list or to reply to something. Only subscribed addresses can post. You can have more than one if you wish. You will get multiple copies if you do.) Tango members have a separate mailing list they are automatically added to when they become a Tango member. |
| Region Ten messages still in effect from prior years |
| are in a
file with a link designated as such (see below). It is the
responsibility of each Director to
determine which, if any, of their messages from past years are still in
effect*. Messages still in effect are directors' messages
only. These will normally be directives or instructions.
*NTP-8 (series) Chapter 6 Para 616.f states, "The first broadcast of each calendar year shall list all broadcasts which remain in effect from previous years. All previous years broadcasts which are not in this listing are canceled and need no longer be retained." |
| To read the messages |
| for a
given month click on the link below. You can then save the
page. It defaults to an ASCII text format. The only
reason for collecting messages by month is to break up the file size
and make it easier to zero in on a particular message. DE NNN0AS0 FIVE |
