On Saturday, July 18, Navy-Marine Corps MARS (Military Affiliate Radio
System) conducted an emergency communications exercise within the
Pacific Area. The only requirement was to operate away from their
normal home location utilizing generator or battery power.

In Beaverton 6 members participated operating on voice, digital and
sending messages via the MARS Winlink Data System. (Picture no longer available.)
