| Members must satisfactorily complete the FEMA ICS courses IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, and IS-800 in order to qualify for mobilization to the field or be issued a DoD disaster ID card. Per Chief, Navy-Marine Corps MARS these courses must be taken via the FEMA web site in order to receive credit within the MARS program. It is the only clear way to establish standardization and meet Homeland Security Presidential Directives 5 and 8. |
| If you take any of them from another source, such as local sheriff's office, you will still need to go on line, complete the course, take the test, and obtain the FEMA certificate that way.
