Your Email address is not mandatory but if you do not provide it then
we have no way of informing you of any problems with your message.
Message text must be in plain English.
Stateside messages - Your message may be undeliverable if you do not
provide a phone number for the person
receiving the message.
Messages to Ships - The ships page only allows you
to send messages to Ships that are active participants in the Navy-Marine
Corps MARS E-Mail system.
How your message is delivered - Your message is entered into the
Navy-Marine Corps MARS E-mail system which relays messages to Ships that are active, or in the case of messages to recipients Stateside and Overseas to a MARS
station nearest to the destination.
How you receive a reply - The recipient of your message may send a
reply via the MARS station that delivered the message to him/her and this reply will be
delivered to you via telephone by a MARS station close to your location.
Filling out the form - If you are using a Browser that supports Java
scripts the form is interactive; the form cannot be submitted until all the blanks have
been completed. If you are using a Browser that does not support Java scripts the form can
be submitted without filling in all the blanks but you will then receive a statement
indicating which blanks you did not complete and these blanks must be filled in before the
form will be accepted.
